SRX3843219: WGS of Megaladapis edwardsi, ancient bone, sample UA5180_39B
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 115.1M spots, 17.3G bases, 11.7Gb downloads

Design: Whole genomic ancient DNA isolated from bone, library prepared following Meyer and Kircher 2010 (CSHP) with modifications, whole genome sequenced
Submitted by: The Pennsylvania State University
Study: Nuclear genome sequences from extinct (Megaladapis edwardsi) and modern (Lepilemur mustelinus and Eulemur rufifrons) lemurs
show Abstracthide Abstract
We use an integrated ancient DNA and genomic approach to study the evolution of a recently extinct, giant 'subfossil' lemur from Madagascar, Megaladapis edwardsi. We generated new nuclear genomic data from the extinct lemur and two modern lemur species, for phylogenetic and comparative evolutionary genomic analyses.
